Last Monday is our garbage pick up day and I saw huge piles of garbage in our neighborhood. We have three big bags of garbage. Most of it are boxes and gift wrappers. I can't imagine how much garbage are being thrown in the dump. Besides those kind of garbage we also throw leftover foods in the garbage disposal which does not really make me happy knowing that there are so many people who don't have foods this holiday. It's just that we have so much food during the holidays and we cannot just ate it all. So I was thinking, in order to be able to help our environment I am thinking of getting our own composter. I want to get an indoor kitchen composter. It helps in turning scraps of foods into fertilizer using fermentation. I think this is a perfect way of recycling. We didn't totally waste food because it saves us money from buying fertilizer.

Break Time

I just finished cleaning two rooms in the house and now it's my break time. I'm browsing around for some cute purses. I just bought a new Coach purse. I hope it looks the same as in the picture. It's only $138 and that's it no more buying purse for this year. Not unless if I got the money that I've been waiting for. But no, I won't touch that money. Or I should not think about coz it might not happen. Right now, I'm working on some stuffs online and I earned money so far. It's always nice when you're able to contribute something for the house. But looks like I spend more than what I earned. Oh well, I will do my best not to do that again.

I was intrigued with this man when I watched the hearing on the causes and effects of the Lehman Brothers bankruptcy at House Oversight and Government Reform Committee which broadcasterd live yesterday (Oct. 6, 2008 ) in Washington. I can say that he's a powerful, rich and intelligent man. With all the information that I've read about him including his educational background, career, family, I can say that he's a notable and influential individual. And I'm impressed watching him yesterday, able to composed himself well even if he was grilled already by the congressmen. If I'm not mistaken some of them were really trying to provoke them and one even called him as a villain. Well, I'm just an ordinary person so I couldn't relate to what the rich people felt who lost big time because of the Lehman's bankruptcy. I don't even want to take it seriously if he's one of the reason's why our investments are going down each day. My opinion is based only on that time when I saw him on CNN and I just think he's hot :-). lol. But seriously I hope he will be able get what he really deserved. I wish he will just share his millions to other people.It's not really fair when Lehman's investors got huge losses but seems like he's not losing at all.

WaMu to Chase

When I heard that Washington Mutual has gone down, I was thinking of withdrawing my money but hubby advised me to just leave it there because it's insured anyway. Though it's not that much, those are money that I earned from my paid blogging, surveys and monetary gifts from friends and families. Hubby didn't even now that I opened my own personal account at Washington Mutual not till recently. I told him those are emergency money to buy plane ticket to the Philippines just in case I'm pissed with him..at least I'm not thinking about using credit cards :-). He's cool with that, he knows that I love trying new things. Our primary account is at our local bank here in Crescent City. I just like it at WaMu because they offer 4.9% APR for my savings.
So last night, it's all confirmed that WaMu and being bought by JPMorgan Chase. Good thing that I wasn't able to buy stocks from WaMu the other day. Because I thought it was just a temporary set back, so when I checked their quota it's only .16 per share. I'm tempted to buy because if ever it will go up, it's a good gain. Anyways, as of September 25, 2008 all WaMu customer deposits are now deposits of JPMorgan Chase, one of the strongest financial institutions in the world. I wonder what next big companies will be going down with the current economic situation. It will totally be a shocked it it will be Coca Cola then being bought by Pepsi..lol..just trying to be silly...
