Christmas Party In Eureka

         
    
         Filipino-American Community held their annual Christmas party in Eureka City , Ca. on December 12 ,2012 Their program started at 5:00 o'clock PM.As usual it was open with an invocation followed by national anthem of the Philippines and U.S.A. Then it was followed by the opening remark of their president .After the opening remark the reception dinner was served. Every participant brought their own foods and share it together in one long table.Different classic of Filipinos favorite food were serve, from sea foods pork beef ,chicken cook of different dishes and many others leaves the table to no more vacant space.Different variety of snack were also served. While dining every participant were chattibg toeach other especially to the new members and new comers. I also enjoyed because there were many from visayas who participated in that affair.That occasion became a sort of a dual purpose party Christmas and Accquaintance party.
         Their program was just simply, it include group singing of a carolling songs of Christmas.Sharing of their individual talent, folk dance,singing for kids , some give aways and a raffle ticket . I was so happy because I was one of the lucky winner to get the 2nd price of a luxury jacket. I'm happy because I have a remembrance on that party.
         While the program was still on going, we leave for home because it was a long trip to travel from Eureka City to Crescent City. That was a happy day for my family.

Next Month's Celebrant

From the month of June until October, I have birthday celebration each month. June is my birthday month, then July my son and my baby girl, August, my sister, September, my daughter and father and next month is my eldest kid's birthday. And buying gifts for them is a struggle because I have to be fair for everybody and I have to make sure that they got what they wanted.But they have to realize that birthdays is not all about gifts, it's about being thankful that you have a wonderful life and being healthy. But being a mom, it's hard not to buy them gifts but I'm just glad that Bianca just want an electronic book for her birthday instead of dolls. At least this one, it will help her in reading because it's educational.

First Communion

In our religion, Roman Catholic, we have seven sacraments that we observed and we also celebrate First Communion. That's the time when the child do her first Sacrament of Penance and her First Communion. Last Saturday was my friend's daughter first Communion. She have a big party help at St. Paul's hall. She have a lot of visitors including her families that came all the way from Sacramento. It was fun even though my family is the only non- Mexican among the guests. It was pretty cool because they are kind and accomodating. They love to wear cowboy hats and hoyo de monterrey Me and my husband wore cowboy boots instead of wearing hats. It was a fun celebration.

Good Quality Banners

When I throw parties whether it's for birthdays, retirement, christening and baby shower, I always use banners. I just thought that it will add excitement to the occasion. I used to spend a lot of time looking for a nicer banner here in our place because we don't really have a lot of choices. I end up buying online but the last time I bought a banner, I was disappointed because it wasn't what I expected to get. It looks different in the picture. But I'm excited because I found a cheaper deal in Personals Creations and good quality too. Personal Creations banners are affordable and scratch, tear, wrinkle and water resistant. It's good to know that we can use the banners indoor and outdoor.

Sharing Is The Best Thing

Finally, I am feeling better now. After those two parties for my husband's retirement, I was exhausted that I feel like I have a severe case of hangover. I was cooking for the whole week. I was shopping for ingredients in different stores and that made my feet tired. Then the marinating and chopping which took a lot of time. But it's all worth it because everybody loved my foods. During the second party, I was surprised because the wife of the president of the Filipino-American Association here in Crescent City, my Ate Rowena gave me a Coach purse. I was so happy because it is also a big purse that my laptop would fit in there. I'm so thrilled and happy. Then before the party ended, some of my friends "tour" in our simple abode. They like my house.And they like my necklace display. It's actually really cute.A friend of mine gave it to me. The get to look at my jewelry and they get to bring some. I love to share. And I'm blessed because my friends love to share too. :-)

Kids' First Birthdays

This is Sophia's first birthday picture. It was just held in our house. We just invited few friends including her godparents and their children. It was fun because it was memorable for everybody. Sophia was so behave the whole party. It started at 2p until 7pm.

Here's our Lil Man in the house. Our fourth of July baby. Even though our friends were busy for the fourth of July activities, they still arrived and celebrated with us for Eric's 1st birthday.

                                                          Here's Stephanie, my eldest. She has lots of visitors during her birthday. The house was overcrowded but they had fun.

I am so happy that I was able to keep all these pictures. People said that they all look the same but looking at these pictures, not really. They have similarities and have different beauties. Time flies so fast. I felt like it was just yesterday when I planned for their first birthday.When I prepare for their 1st birthday invitations , choosing the best cake decoration and choosing the right outfit. I just want everything to be perfect. Throwing a party is a hard task but as you look back 5 years from now. It's all worth it because the memories are worth reminiscing.

She is so Spoiled Not Just By Me

AfterSteph's 3rd birthday party, I decided to make the kids' next birthday celebrations simpler. I used to organized parties for her and invite many people but now as our small family is growing, we can't afford to be lavish anymore. But even though I didn't organized a party for her, it will just turned out like a big celebration. On her 4th birthday, her best friend Adam and his brothers surprised her with doughnuts for breakfast and later in the afternoon her Aunt Marie and her kids brought a cake for her.So I end up throwing a party for her on the following month for the rest of her friends. I'm not the only one spoiling her. Everybody is!

Little Black Dress

Finally, the perfect LBD.We can find this dress at tjformal.com. I will attend a social occasion on October and I've been looking for a dress that isn't too bright but classy. That's why I think that a little black dress is perfect.I bought a black lacy dress last month but I don't like it because it looks like a curtain. This one is caught my attention right away. This dress reflect my personality; simple but strong. I wished I found this site long ago. I attended a wedding last June but I haven't found the perfect dress to wear. I'm just having a good time browsing through their bite. I can't wait to share this to my friends.

It was sunny in Hiouchi last Saturday so we went to the Halo halo party that we are invited to. I went an hour early so I can help Ate Rowena. I was gonna stay there for an hour only but the people that I don’t to see didn’t arrive, so I hang out there for awhile. It’s not that I have a fight with them but since they are the enemies of one of my close friends, I rather choose not to mingle with them. It will just stress if I hear something I don’t like. Besides one of them take it personal and she decided not to talk to me also and the worst she ignored my daughter too. The thing is leave the kids alone. If us, as adults acting childish to each other, maybe we could at least act as adults to the kids because they don’t know what’s going on.

Anyways, after the party, we went to Gasquet to bring food for Lee. We stayed there for awhile then we head home. All in all, this is a nice day!

Hawaiian Themed Wedding

This wedding is beautiful. The bride is the daughter of my very good friend Erin. She is her one and only daughter. Watching her in her beautiful wedding as she exhanged I dos with her groom gave a tear in my eye. I feel so in love. It reminded me of my wedding day. It was beautiful. It costs a lot of money but it's all worth it.
