According to the bluecross.ca magazine many people take supplements to boost their intake of vitamins and minerals. But did you know that some supplements work betters in pairs?
Example:
*Vitamin D helps the body absorb calcium.
*Vitamin C helps the body absorb Iron.
* Three B vitamins ( folic acid, B6, B-12 ), taken together, reduce the level of an amino acid that may damage artery linings, leading to heart attacks and strokes.
Vitamin E and selenium, taken together, may help fight prostate cancer.
But of course you have to ask your doctor first before taking supplements.
